RICHMOND – Ronald L. Pinkham, known as “Riley”, 77, of Robin Court passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Mid-Coast Hospital in Brunswick. He was born on Aug. 3, 1943 in Richmond, the fourth of eight children born to Ralph Alton Pinkham Jr. and Thelma Ladd Pinkham.

Riley attended Richmond schools and worked for various shoe factories in Gardiner and Richmond. On July 20, 1968 he married Louise Trussell and they lived in Richmond where they raised their two children, David and Mary.

Riley was predeceased by his parents Ralph Alton Pinkham Jr. and Thelma Ladd Pinkham of Richmond; three brothers, Marvin Pinkham of Richmond, Warren Pinkham of Chelsea and Dennis Pinkham of Richmond, one sister, Janis Murphy of Richmond; and a grandson, Ronald Lord of Litchfield.

Riley is survived by son, David Pinkham and wife Rebecca along with their two sons Cameron and Joshua of Topsham; and his daughter Mary Reed and husband Frank Reed of Dresden; and granddaughter, Alexis Smith and husband Casey Smith of Litchfield. Also surviving are three sisters, Geraldine Russell and husband Eugene “Jake” Russell of St. Petersburg, Fla., Susan Lewia of Richmond, and Debra Wallace and husband James of Brunswick; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Riley enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of professional sports including golf, the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

A burial service is planned for June 19 at 1 p.m at the Cotton Cemetery in Richmond. After the service, a fellowship gathering will take place at the Grange Hall on Alexander Reed Road, Richmond.
