AUGUSTA — Nolan Turcotte has been named Capital Area Technical Center’s May Professional of the Month.
Turcotte, of Augusta, is a Cony High School junior enrolled in the Auto Tech program. He said he has enjoyed the trouble-shooting aspects of the program, thinks of a car as a big 3-D puzzle and likes having to problem solve where the issue in a car may be located, according to a news release from the center.
His instructor, Joe Rabideau said, “Nolan has mastered the tire machine. He has done almost every tire that has come into the shop. He is ready to work every day and gets the job done.”
When not in school, Turcotte likes to be outdoors and go fishing, be with friends or help at his grandparents’ farm. He recently got a job with Quirk Ford and will continue to work towards becoming a master technician.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
