CAMDEN — Photo preservation specialist Cheryl Freye of Winthrop is to present a free, educational Zoom class about saving, organizing, and sharing photographs at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 22.

Freye’s class, hosted by Camden Public Library, is ideal for anyone feeling overwhelmed by multitudes of photographs and videos accumulated in hard copy and on multiple digital devices.

Topics to be covered will include photo organization, tips for digitizing photos, backing up photos, what to look for in cloud storage options, and ideas for fun things to do with photos.

“People are often worried about losing their photos or not having a system in place for their children and grandchildren to be able to access their photos,” said Freye, according to a news release from the library. “We’ll cover those concerns and also discuss how to include storytelling elements to provide insight for future generations.”

Freye has specialized in photo preservation since 2005 and is a photo coach and senior lead ambassador with forever.com, a digital archive company. She is passionate about helping individuals find a personalized plan to preserve their family photos and stories. She also works with organizations to develop a plan for preserving their history.
