Dean Charles Jones

NORRIDGEWOCK – Dean Charles Jones, 64, passed away June 5, 2021 at his home in Norridgewock surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 5, 1956 in New Britain, Conn., the son of Roland C. and Norine (Keene) Jones.

He graduated from Skowhegan Area High School. He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United Stated Air Force from1975 until his honorable discharge in 1979. Dean was a master carpenter and owner of Dean Jones Construction, and later employed and proud to be a part of his Mill Wright work as a Union Member. In earlier years, he enjoyed volunteering his time for the Norridgewock Volunteer Fire Department. On August 24, 2018, he married Pamela Soule in Norridgewock.

Dean enjoyed fishing, hiking, the great outdoors, road trips to Montana, spending time with fellow A-team union members but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of three years, Pamela Soule-Jones of Norridgewock; two daughters, McKenzie (Jones) Moore and husband William of Readfield, Amber (Carter) LaFrance and husband Jeff of Fairfield; two stepsons, Geoff Soule and girlfriend Morgan Saunders of North Whitefield, Drew Soule and wife Krysta of Vienna; brother, Glenn Jones and partner Joleen Charles, sister Nancy Jones of Norridgewock; grandchildren, Rory, Wesley, Hayden, Hudson Dean, and Lucas; nephew, Ryan Jones and wife Amy, nieces, Sarah and Emily Jones. He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Norine Jones; best friend, Rick Scollin.

A casual Celebration of Life will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at 17 Depot Street, Norridgewock. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 am at Sunset View Cemetery in Norridgewock.
