Elaine M. Dolley

PORTLAND – Elaine M. Dolley, 79, a resident of Augusta, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born March 31, 1942 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Henry Mercier and Jennie (Judd) Mercier.

She was a 1960 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. She worked in Cooperative Extension Services for the University of Maine for many years until her retirement in 2008. She loved reading, feeding the birds, cats and spending time with family. She is survived by her children, Darlene Lenfest and husband Peter of Windsor, Karen LaPlante and husband John of Augusta, Keith Dolley and wife Michelle of Lynchburg, Va., Shari Hanover and fiancé Joel of Madison; grandchildren, Laura Johnson and husband Craig, Jarrod Lenfest and fiancée Katie Kelley, Kate Greaton and husband Tali, Abigail LaPlante, Samantha Schmidt and husband Jace, Jack Money and fiancée Haley Landry, and Cameron Money; great-grandchild, Oliver Money; siblings Richard Mercier and wife Barbara of Edgecomb, Robert Mercier and wife Bonnie of Florida, and Bruce Mercier of Wayne. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother Maurice Mercier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, June 17 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine. Private Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
