The public is invited to kick off summer with an evening of big band jazz from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 21. Local favorite Mondaynite Jazz Orchestra (MoJO) returns for a free community concert in the Camden Amphitheatre.
Bring a chair or blanket, a picnic supper, and your dancing (or tapping) feet. If one night of music isn’t enough, additional MoJO concerts can be enjoyed in the Amphitheatre on June 28 and July 19, also at 6:30 pm.
The mission of MoJO is to be the premier community jazz orchestra in the midcoast area. The group performs a variety of musical styles including traditional big band, Latin, funk, and blues. Vocal numbers are also included.
MoJO performs a number of professional engagements every year which includes performances in support of nonprofit organizations. In addition, they strive to provide educational and experiential opportunities for music students to improve their skills.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
