
The Joan Kennedy Band will perform at 5 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Red Barn in Augusta.
Kennedy, a singer and musician, is a Canadian born and raised and Portland, based crossover country, pop, and blues star known to millions.
Encompassing a career that has spanned more than three decades, she has accumulated more accolades and awards than most.
She’s recorded six albums with MCA & Koch International, toured Canada, the U.S., and Europe, starred in a two-season television series, and was 2nd to only Garth Brooks as Canadian Country Music Radio’s most played artist. She also has been the nominee of: Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Fan’s Choice, Female Artist of the Year, Independent Artist of The Year, two Juno Award Nominations , and CMT’s Canadian Video of the Year.
Kennedy is the recipient of: CCMA’s Humanitarian Award, East Coast Music Assoc Entertainer of the Year, and New Brunswick Music Hall of Fame Member.
