Joanne Cormier
NORWAY – Joanne Cormier, 91, formerly of Poland, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born on Nov. 17, 1929 in Korea and came to the United States as a young child.
Joanne was a homemaker for most of her life, as a wife and matriarch to her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. Joanne found joy in gardening and she was famous for her cooking and special recipes. She is remembered for having a soft, gentle personality and a heart of gold.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 65 years Ronald W. Cormier Sr.; her son, Ronald W. Cormier, Jr. and his wife Pauline, her daughter, Randi Plummer and her husband Timothy. She had 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Robbin Levey.
A graveside memorial service will be held 12:00 (noon) June 28, 2021 at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road Augusta, Maine.
