Shirley Abbott
MOSCOW – Shirley Abbott, 69, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Moscow on June 12, 2021 after a long battle with COPD.
Shirley was born in Dover Foxcroft on July 3, 1951 the daughter of Robert and Rosemond Hatch. She attended and graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in 1969.
She was predeceased by both of her parents; her husband Darold Abbott; her son William Hunt, and two stepsons Brent and James Abbott.
She is survived by her daughter Shannon Grim of Guilford, her stepson Brian Abbott and his wife Sylvia, stepdaughter Lisa Abbott; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as many good friends.
Shirley enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, taking long drives with her husband Darold and trying her luck at the casinos. She will be loved and missed by many.
