Charles A. Brossy

WYNANTSKILL, N.Y. – Charles A. Brossy (aka Charlie, Alan, Al), 82, passed away at home on June 17, 2021, with his wife and daughter at his side. Born on Sept. 15, 1938, to Inez (Rohow) and Hugh Leslie Brossy in New Brunswick, N.J., he grew up in Metuchen and attended St. Peter’s High School and Villanova University, class of 1960.

Charles was employed by Exxon Mobil for 29 years in New Jersey and Maine. He served stateside in the U.S. Army from 1962 – 1964 at Fort Hood, Texas, and Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

Charles was a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a member of many organizations pertaining to his hobbies of stamp collecting, rocks/minerals, model trains, and ham radio. He was an Eagle Scout.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents; brother, Hugh Richard Brossy, and infant sister, Mary Angela.

He is survived by his wife, Doris (Hische) Brossy; son, Eric Brossy de Dios (Alicia) of Monterey Park, Calif., and their sons Tristan (Aimeé) of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Gabriel of Monterey Park, Calif.; and daughter, Kristin Linsey of Wynantskill, N.Y.. He also leaves his cousin, Virginia Streeter of Opelika, Ala., sister-in-law Lois Jane (Brossy) Eisenberg of Fort Myers, Fla., as well as cousins, nephew, and nieces in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida.
