Weston Adelbert Elliott

CANAAN – Weston Adelbert Elliott, 84, passed away April 15, 2021, at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. He was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Hartland, the son of Harry and Sadie (Emery) Elliott.

He graduated from Hartland Academy class of 1956. On Dec. 23, 1960, he married Charlotte Monroe He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for six years until his honorable discharge in 1963. He was employed by Martin and Brothers Construction until he was in an accident and buried laying pipe-line that resulted in a permanent disability. He spent the rest of the days caring for is family, tending to household needs and raising his grandchildren. He was a member of the Smokey’s Angels Snowmobile club and a mason. Weston enjoyed camping, fishing, going to Bluegrass and country festivals, and snowmobiling in his younger days.

Weston is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte (Monroe) Elliott of Canaan; daughter, Karen J. Weese of Canaan; grandchildren, Mallory Newton and husband Scott of Madison, Derek Weese and wife Kassie of Petaluma, California, Dallas Longevin of Wilton, Justin Longevin and wife Kristi of Hartland; great grandchildren, Riley and Hope Garland, Harper Weese, and Leon Longevin. He was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda Longevin.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 12-4 p.m., at 4 Tall Pines Drive, off the Morrill Pond Road in Hartland. Please come to tell stories and eat lunch.
