After excellent coverage of all the area high school tennis playoff matches, the Sentinel dropped the ball on posting the results of the championships. There was zero reporting of the historic state Class B team tennis matches that had both the Waterville boys and girls teams in the finals. Nothing online or in print. Coverage for Hall-Dale covered pages and pictures; they deserved the coverage.
In hard-fought matches, the Waterville girls won their first state championship, 3-2, and the boys were runners-up. Surely these accomplishments deserved acknowledgement. What a great disservice to the student athletes.
