MONMOUTH – S. Suzanne Ward, 78, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at her home in North Monmouth. She was born April 2, 1943 in Augusta, the daughter of Armand and Eleanor (Libby) St. Hilaire.Suzanne graduated from Winthrop High School in 1961 and waitressed at the Branding Iron in Winthrop for many years. She enjoyed being at home in the company of her loved ones. Suzanne was very generous, understanding, and kind. She was very close to her neighbors and enjoyed summer and holiday gatherings with them. She was an exceptional seamstress and quilting was one of her favorite past times. She spent hours working on her flower gardens, they brought her great joy. Her love for her children and grandchildren was unconditional. Family was very important to her and her greatest joy was to see them happy and healthy.Suzanne was predeceased by her husband David Ward; son Craig Ward; sister Jackie Wing, and brother Stephen St. Hilaire.She is survived by sons Steven Ward and Thomas Ward and wife Victoria, daughter Andrea Ward and life partner Jeff Kemp; grandsons Zachary and Brandon Kemp, granddaughter Stella Libby; brothers David St. Hilaire and wife Sandy, Jon St. Hilaire and wife Betty, Kevin St. Hilaire and wife Dot, Peter St. Hilaire, and brother-in-law Reynold Wing.A graveside celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Glenside Cemetery, Turkey Lane, WinthropArrangements are in the care of Roberts Funeral Home, 62 Bowdoin St., Winthrop where condolences to the family may be shared on the obituary page of the website at http://www.familyfirstfuneralhomes.comDonations is Suzanne’s memory may be made to:The Vestry776 Main St.Monmouth, ME 04259where she enjoyedvolunteering
