AUGUSTA — Numerous people were indicted on drug trafficking, assault and other charges recently by a Kennebec County grand jury.
An indictment is not a determination of guilt but indicates there is enough evidence to proceed with formal charges and a trial.
Indictments issued last week included:
• Daniel D. Ackerley, 35, of Winthrop, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (cocaine base) unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (cocaine), and criminal forfeiture, of $555, March 17 in Winthrop.
• Tammy L. Bass, 49, of Benton, theft by unauthorized taking, Nov. 2, 2020, in Waterville.
• Jaci A. Beane, 27, of Augusta, theft by deception, between July 2, 2020, and Feb. 2, 2021, in Augusta.
• Jayde Brann, 19, of Augusta, theft by deception, theft by unauthorized taking, and violation of condition of release, between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11, 2020, in Augusta, and theft by unauthorized taking, between Dec. 4, 2020, and Jan. 11, 2021, in Manchester and/or Winthrop.
• Dylan A. Brown, 29, of Madison, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs (heroin), unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (LSD), May 5 in Waterville.
• Mike O. Calcano, 20, of Salem, Massachusetts, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (fentanyl powder), April 11 in Clinton, and two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (cocaine), April 11 in Clinton.
• James N. Clifford, 54, of Augusta, failure to comply with duty under the Sex Offender and Registration and Notification Act, May 14 in Augusta.
• Beau D. Cornish, 41, of Augusta, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (fentanyl powder), illegal possession of hypodermic apparatuses, and violation of conditions of release, April 9 in Waterville.
• Peter V. Corson, 55, of Clinton, theft by unauthorized taking, Feb. 25 in Waterville.
• Devon Joseph Decato, 28, of Gardiner, two counts of unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (cocaine base), April 3 in Augusta.
• Andrew Howard Dyer Jr., 36, of Albion, unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs (methamphetamine), Feb. 24 in Waterville.
• Renee M. Gradie, 50, of Waterville, theft by unauthorized taking, between Nov. 5, 2020, and Dec. 9, 2020, in Augusta.
• Christian Cody Greaves, 26, of Waterville, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon and assault, Dec. 30, 2020, in Waterville.
• Daniel A. Groover, 47, of Augusta, aggravated criminal mischief, March 16 in Augusta.
