Eva Doris Tibbetts

MT. VERNON – Eva Doris Tibbetts, age 68 of Mount Vernon, went home to be with her Lord on July 7, 2021, after a long battle with her health.

Eva was born on July 31, 1952, in Farmington, Maine, to Edward Joseph Arthur Ayotte Sr. and Doris Libby Ayotte. Eva grew up in Mount Vernon, Maine. She attended Glen Cove Christian Academy in Rockland, Maine, her freshman year of high school. She graduated from Winthrop High School in June of 1972.

Eva was a lifelong member of Dunn’s Corner Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Maine, and was a devoted Christian. When she was younger, she volunteered for Mount Vernon Fire and Rescue.

She started out working as a CNA at Heritage Nursing Home in Winthrop, ME. She then worked as a medical secretary at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta for 30 years.

Eva’s hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren, doing puzzles, coloring apps, reading, helping out with church functions, planting beautiful flowers throughout her yard, birdwatching, trips to the ocean, and beautiful sunsets; She would always exclaim, “Doesn’t God paint good!?”.

Eva was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband Bruce Tibbetts, to whom she was married for almost 49 years. Survived also by her children Jennifer Lenfest and husband Robert Lenfest of Dixmont, and her son Chris Tibbetts and his fiancé Jaime Sprague of Mount Vernon. Eva was a proud grandmother to 6 wonderful grandchildren, Jayla Brann, Jensen Brann, Jillian Rackliff, Jett Rackliff, Cody Tibbetts, and Veda Tibbetts. Eva was able to meet her first and only great-granddaughter, 9-month-old Maevyn Hazel Brann. Eva was the oldest of 11 siblings. She is survived by siblings Edward Ayotte Jr. and wife Jeanette, Chad Ayotte, Betty Burns, Pierre Ayotte and wife Linda, Maddy Pierce and husband Bill, Joanne Ayotte, Mae Dickey and husband Todd, Clarence Ayotte and wife Maryann, Tony Ayotte and wife Stacey. She is predeceased by parents Edward Joseph Arthur Ayotte Sr. and Doris Libby Ayotte, and brother Patrick Ayotte. Eva is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Eva’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 16, 2021, at Dunn’s Corner Baptist Church, 238 Wings Mills Rd., Mount Vernon, ME. At 11:00 a.m. Visiting hour will be in the Church on Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m., funeral service will be from 11:00-12:00. A celebration of life gathering immediately following Eva’s service from 12:00-1:30 in the church annex, followed by a 2:00 burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Belgrade, Maine.
