Nancy (Hunter) Vondy

FARMINGTON – On Wednesday, June 9, 2020, Nancy (Hunter) Vondy fell went to be with the Lord at Orchard Park Rehabilitation & Living Center in Farmington, Maine. Nancy was born on July 26, 1934, in Lewiston, Maine to James E. and Dorothy (Flewelling) Hunter. She married Harrison P. Vondy in 1954.

Nancy had a lifelong career in banking, retiring from The Livermore Falls Trust Company in 1998. She was passionate about her Lord and served Him in numerous capacities at the First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls for many years. Nancy found great joy in her collies and was a member of the Collie Club of Maine. She also spent many happy hours scrapbooking.

Nancy was preceded by her parents, her husband Harrison, of 48 years and her stepson John W. (Jay) Vondy. She is survived by her sister Bonnie (Hunter) Collins and husband Theodore of Chelsea, her beloved stepson Tom and wife Valerie of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, step-grandsons, Scott Vondy and Ryan Cocoran and their mother Deborah of Florence, New Jersey, Joseph Dare and his wife Robyn of Mount Laurel, New Jersey and Drs. Ryan and Dawn Willie of Jobstown, New Jersey and very special friends Linda Robertson and her husband Bob of Pittston and Dianne Hirsch of Dixfield.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls the afternoon of July 25, 2021 at 2 p.m. Memories may be shared in her Book of Memories at http://www.wilesrc.com. Cremation care has been provided by the Wiles Remembrance Center of Jay.
