Tina Lousie Juarez

AUGUSTA – Tina Lousie Juarez (née Barnard) of Augusta, Maine, passed into the arms of Jesus Wednesday morning, July 14, 2021, with her family by her side.

She was born on January 1, 1959, at Gardiner Hospital; she was the youngest child of Connie (née Chaney) and Robert Lenord Barnard. She grew up in West Gardiner and graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 1977, and soon after, left to explore the United States with classmate Marie Atkins. They spent time in Florida with her sister, Susan Skiffington, and family. They traveled on to her Aunt Dorothy Andres and family in Arizona, where she met her husband, Jesse Juarez.

Being the adventurous souls that they were, Jesse and Tina made their home in Arizona and Colorado while raising their seven children. Finally they moved back to Maine in 1999, filling their lives with children and grandchildren.

Tina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. Besides spending time with the Lord every day, Tina loved to sew. Over the years, she made quilts for her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her father, Robert.

Tina is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jesse, her children Nehemiah (and wife Ruth), Rebekah, Micah (and wife Rachel), Zechariah (and wife Megan), Isaiah (and wife Christina), Deborah (and partner Rich), and Joah, along with 22 grandchildren. Tina will also be kept in loving memory by her mother Connie Barnard and her sisters, Sue Skiffington (and husband Al), Roxane Rachocki, and Becky (and husband Michael) Doherty.

A funeral was held Sunday, July 25th with immediate family. A Celebration of life and reception will be held Saturday, August 7th at 11:30 am at 33 Barnards Way, West Gardiner. All friends and family are welcome to come celebrate Tina’s life.
