MANCHESTER – Margaret M. Londa of Manchester died on July 22, 2021 at the age of 76 after a brief illness. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., she was a graduate of The Vail Deane School, attended the University of Oklahoma, and trained in Boston as legal secretary and worked for many years serving attorneys in New York City, Puerto Rico, and Miami, before retiring a number of years ago.

While in Puerto Rico, in addition to her legal responsibilities, Margaret worked at various casinos and developed a life-long interest in games of chance.

Having gone to summer camp in Maine as a child and after having vacationed there for many summers as an adult, she retired there because of her love of the residents of Maine and of the countryside where she lived in several bucolic settings.

Margaret was accomplished banjo player having trained with some the country’s best known artists, and she never tired of listening to blue grass music.

Predeceased by her parents Abram D. and Maxine H. Londa, Margaret leaves behind a twin sister, Frances Gradman and her brother-in-law Lawrence Gradman; nieces Laura and Ann Gradman and Jessica Londa, a nephew, Peter Londa and his wife Claire Londa; great-nieces Zoe, Sydney, and Samantha O’Donnell and Olivia Londa, a great-nephew, Fletcher Londa; a sister-in-law, Mary Claude Reyna, and a brother, Raymond Londa to all of whom she was devoted.

She will be missed.
