Wallace H. Webb

CLINTON – Wallace H. Webb passed into God’s hands on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Wally was born on June 11, 1934, the son of Russell and Anna Louise Webb of Stonington, Maine.

He married Margaret Webb on May 15, 1954. They resided in Stonington until 1965, at which time they moved to Clinton.

Wally, a graduate of Stonington High School, lived with his family in Clinton, Maine where he pursued his lifelong career as an electrician with IBEW Local 1253 JATC, becoming a general foreman.

After retirement, Wally and Margaret enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Florida. Wally enjoyed woodworking, was a car racing enthusiast, and most especially a fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Wally was a member of the Brown Memorial Methodist Church, being very active in the men’s group there. He was a lifelong member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

Wally was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; his mother, Anna Louise; and his father, Russell.

Wallace is survived by his loving stepmother, Marie Webb; his sister, Joan Bryson; his brother, David Webb; his three children and their spouses, Louise Chapman and her husband, Calvin, Michael and his wife, Debbie, and Lisa Woodside and her husband, Jeff.

He was a loving “Papa” to his six grandchildren and their spouses, and to his eleven great grandchildren.

Dad, we will miss your stories, family cookouts, croquet and wiffle ball games, but mostly your loving devotion to Mom. Rest in peace dad.

Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 8 at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street in Fairfield, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 9 with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11 at Greenwood Cemetery in Oceanville.
