Fiddle on the Front Porch is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, on the Cumston Hall Front Porch, 796 Main St. in Monmouth.
Owen Kennedy will play a family friendly fiddle show. Bring your chairs, family and friends, and even a picnic dinner if you’d like. The program will feature Scottish fiddle music plus a few New England favorites and some tunes and stories from Kennedy’s 50 Fiddlers from 50 States project.
Fiddle on the Front Porch is hosted by Cumston Public Library, and is free and open to the public. To watch videos or keep up-to-date with upcoming events, follow @fiddlerokennedy on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
