Gary Alan Thurlow

WATERVILLE – Gary Alan Thurlow, 65, of Waterville, succumbed to injuries of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on August 11, 2021 at Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor. He was found with his self-inflicted wound on August 5 by his beloved brother, Jonathan. He was born in Hartford, Conn. on May 22, 1956. Gary graduated from Waterville High School class of 1975. Gary was a professional golfer in Florida and North Carolina and was an avid skier,He is predeceased by his mother, Eva M. (Voisine) and husband Dr. John M. Thurlow. Gary is survived by two brothers, Jonathan Thurlow of Waterville and Daniel Thurlow of Buckfield, sister, Raelene Thurlow of Waterville; two nephews, Eric L. Thurlow of Fairfield and Evan M. Thurlow of Waterville; a special great-niece, Jada Eva Thurlow, of Fairfield, the daughter of Eric Thurlow of Fairfield and Stephanie Ross of SkowheganHe has also predeceased his biological father, Leon R. Burwood of Hartford, Conn.Anyone could be struggling with suicide.
