FAIRFIELD — Winners Aug. 17 at the Elm City Bridge Club, formerly the Fairfield Nonsanctioned Bridge Club, were Barbara Turhune and Karen Torrey.

Sylvia Palmer and Tom Nelson placed second, Jeannie Reiling and Lynne Kershener placed third, and Ed and Joyce Rushton placed fourth.

The club meets at noon every Tuesday at the Elks Lodge, Industrial Road in Waterville. Participants are asked to bring their own partner.
