It seems very weird that we have lost power over eight times since spring. It always happens on a Sunday morning between 5-6 a.m. on Memorial Drive in Winthrop. There is usually a pop sound that sounds a ways away from our home.

Each time it happens, I call and report the outage. A neighbor contacted Central Maine Power and their response was that the outage was caused by a squirrel. Last Sunday the same thing happened, and my husband saw a line worker and ask why so many outages and the line worker said, “Squirrels.”

Very strange squirrels know the day and time to cause the outages.

Just maybe CMP can fess up and rectify this outage problem and not place blame on the squirrels for every Sunday morning outage.
