“Music for Mavis” Tuesdays at the Gazebo will bring Jerks of Grass from 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the gazebo in Turner.
Jerks of Grass are a high-energy bluegrass quartet from Portland. Gathered around one microphone in the traditional style, with one foot in traditional and the other in progressive roots music, over the past decade they have become a formidable purveyor of their own brand of bluegrass music.
The show will go on rain or shine. The gazebo is located at 98 Mathews Way, off Route 117, in Turner Center. We pass the hat to pay the musicians. Suggested donation $10. For more information, call (207) 754-0954.
