Kent Frederick Sinclair

NORRIDGEWOCK – Kent Frederick Sinclair, 57, went home on Sept. 4, 2021. Kent was born in Fitchburg, Mass. on Sept. 13, 1963 to his loving parents, Sandra Louise and Frederick Wallace Sinclair. He moved to Maine when he was a teenager and proudly graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of ’81. After high school Kent attended college at Washington and Lee in Virginia where he majored in English.

Kent met the love of his life in Waterville and never looked back. He and Roger Sack enjoyed 32 wonderful years together and were joined in holy matrimony at the Norridgewock town office on June 22, 2019.

Kent worked as the town librarian in Norridgewock for many years where he was loved and adored by library patrons. He had a particular fondness for the classics but he cherished all books. You could walk into the library without knowing what you wanted and Kent was always there with quick suggestions and ideas. He had an amazing talent for remembering the books you had already checked out, the ones you loved, and the ones you might be interested in.

Kent was a member of the Norridgewock Historical Society, the Maine Old Cemetery Association, and the Maine Genealogical Society. He loved opera and his German Shepard, Maximillian. Every Saturday they would sit side by side and listen to the opera show on the radio.

Kent leaves behind his loving husband, Roger Sack of Norridgewock; his mother, Sandra Louise (Sivonen) Sinclair of Fitchburg, Mass,; his aunt and uncle, Linda and Dennis Johnson of Fairfield; his cousin, Terick Sivonen of Portland.

Kent was predeceased by his father, Frederick Wallace Sinclair in 2016; and his brother, Keith W. Sinclair, in 1999.
