WATERVILLE — Alfond Youth & Community Center and Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce have combined efforts to present Festival of Trees this holiday season.

This family tradition of more than 60 decorated trees is scheduled for Nov. 19-21 and 26-28 at The Elm, 21 College Ave. in Waterville. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28.

Money raised will support families in the community experiencing food insecurity through the services of the community center. It funds workforce development services and assistance through the chamber, meeting a need existing throughout the region.

Admission is $2 for those 12 and older and free for younger children. People can purchase and drop their individual tree tickets (50 cents each) into the bucket of a favorite tree, and the winners will go home with a decorated tree complete with all the gift cards and merchandise displayed.

For more information about a business sponsoring a tree as part of the festival, visit clubaycc.org/festival-of-trees. Businesses entering a tree in the past will be given preference to submit one for this year because space is limited.

A substantial number of volunteers will be needed for this event. Those interested in registering as an individual or a group can contact Josie Skelley at jskelley@clubaycc.org.

Masking will be required for all attendees and volunteers.
