Alphonso “Buster” A. Dixon Sr.

NORRIDGEWOCK – Alphonso “Buster” A. Dixon Sr., 79, passed away Sept. 8, 2021, at his home in Norridgewock surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 19, 1941, in Benton, the son of Ole and Emma (Rood) Dixon. He was one of 13 children.He graduated from Faith School of Theology in Charleston, Maine, in 1985 and from the North Central Bible College of Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1987. Buster worked for the town of Norridgewock for 10 years maintaining the roads. He was a delivery driver for his son at Fonzo’s Pizza for over 10 years. He was the best delivery driver of all time, rain, snow, sleet, it didn’t matter! To the ones who slipped in the extra tips (you know who you are) thank you for the cold one! He loved beekeeping for many years.Buster is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly (Fish) Dixon of Norridgewock; children, Aaron Dixon and wife Shannon of Florida, Karen (Dixon) Reay and significant other Mark Mercier, James Dixon of Norridgewock, Alphonso Dixon Jr. and significant other Zelma Gould of Norridgewock; siblings, Alton Dixon and wife Cora of Benton, Rodney Dixon of Waterville, Eva Lavoie of Clinton, Mary Martin and husband Spike of Benton; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved them all.He was predeceased by Pearl Shannon, Beverly Ellis, Charlotte Corson, Divola Sargent, Betty Sochia, George Dixon, Albert Dixon and Clifford “cookie” Dixon,A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, from 11 A.M. to 3 p.m., at the Best Western, 375 Main Street, Waterville.Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, Maine, 04976.
