Alden C. “Denny” Boynton Jr.

WEST GARDINER – In the early morning hours of Sept. 14, 2021, our father, Alden C. “Denny” Boynton, Jr., slipped away after a battle with cancer. He was a smart, mechanically inclined man who could fix just about everything. He had a shared passion with fellow “leftie” and son-in-law Mike for anything with wheels and an engine. They formed a connection over trucks, tractors, and cars – most notable of which was a maroon 1967 Corvette with a 427 under the hood and a speeding ticket in the glovebox; a car long ago sold when a growing family called for something a little more practical. In his younger years, our father was also quite artistic and had a knack for tennis, two talents now enjoyed by grandson, Jed. We are forever grateful to Mike for caring for and assisting our father through the end-of-life process. We would also like to thank the nurses and aides of MaineGeneral Hospice – particularly Nichole for her compassion and kindness. There will be no services, just a message for all: Find the good.Wendy & JamieArrangements are entrusted with Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the Staples Funeral Home website: http://www.familyfirstfuneralhomes.com.
