The GFWC Skowhegan Women’s Club plans to deliver homemade apple pies and spring bulbs fresh from Holland.
Pies and bulbs must be ordered by Friday, Sept. 24, to be ready in time for pick up between 9 a.m. and noon, Saturday, Oct. 2, from the porch of the Redington Memorial Home, 11 North Ave. in Skowhegan.
To order, call club members Deb Burnham at 207-858-3320 or Sue Ellen Lexier at 207-431-4786, or other club members they know.
Bulbs include tulips in lemon yellow, cherry red and ivory white or Narcissus, Ceylon. The cost is two for $3, five for $7, or 10 for $14.
Also available for purchase will be hyacinths in bold red, dark purple or pink: two for $4, five for $9.50, or 10 for $18.
Directions for planting of the bulbs this fall will be included.
Redington Memorial Home and North Star Orchards are supporters of this project. Proceeds will be used to support educational projects.
