Those impatient drivers on Route 41 between Readfield and Winthrop who hate to slow down for cyclists, especially if a vehicle is coming from the opposite lane, think the road is there’s alone. Oh! How they fume, and when finally able to zip past the cyclist, a hard smash on the gas.
And if even if the opposite lane is free, they too often do not give the cyclist the law-required 3 feet.
Chill, you Kings Of the Road. leave early for work and errands, slow down, and glance at the early autumn.
