Glenwood L. Barrett

PITTSTON – Glenwood L. Barrett, 82, of Pittston, Maine, died on Monday Sept. 13, 2021, at the Tall Pines Health Care Facility in Belfast.

He was born in Gardiner, Maine, on Oct. 18, 1938, the son of Paul and Mary (Savage) Barrett.

Although Glen worked at numerous jobs throughout his life, he worked at Bath Iron Works for decades. Once he retired, he had a quiet, peaceful life in Pittston with his wife, Audrey, grandson, Kye, and their multiple pets.

If anyone knew Glen at all, they knew he had a passion for model trains ever since he was a young child. One of his proudest accomplishments is the trains he lovingly worked on. He showed anyone who would want to see his hundreds of model trains he painted and detailed, and the train room he enjoyed spending time in when he wasn’t working around his home or relaxing.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Glen is survived by wife, Audrey Barrett; stepson, Alan Clark and wife Ellen; a brother, Paul Barrett; three grandchildren, Lauren Clark, Cal Clark, and Kye Baker, and a sister-in-law, Gloria Rundstrom and husband Gary.

At this time there will be no services.

Arrangements are entrusted with Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the Staples Funeral Home website: http://www.familyfirstfuneralhomes.com
