Do you think our local communities are effectively responding to the COVID-19 rules and recommendations from state and federal officials?

As the pandemic eases closer to its second year mark, communities and municipalities in Maine are responding in varying ways. Most recently, Canaan announced that it will keep vaccines optional for town employees, while Litchfield, which stands to lose about 5 of its 22 employees, is asking Gov. Janet Mills to reverse Maine’s vaccine mandates for health care workers. Over at Temple Academy in Waterville, the superintendent that condemned restrictions meant to stop the spread of the virus is now at home with COVID-19.

Do you think Maine’s communities, including your own, have been responding effectively to the virus and accompanying recommendations from state and federal officials? Tell us in the comments below.
