AUGUSTA – Mark J. Douin, 72, died Oct. 6, 2021 , at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation and Long Term Care – Gray Birch after a long illness.He was born in Augusta on Dec. 16, 1948, the son of Albert and Nellie (Fields) Douin.He was educated in Augusta schools and received his GED. His working career was in the automotive industry as a salesman and mechanic. He was well liked by many, and loved cars and hunting and fishing. He lived at Capital City Manor for many years and had many friends among the residents and staff there.The family wishes to thank the staffs at Motivational Services, Capital City Manor, and MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Long Term Care at Gray Birch for the wonderful and supportive care they provided to Mark in the later years of his life.He is survived by his sister, older, Mary Mayo-Wescott and brother, Anthony Douin, both of Augusta; two nieces, Maria Jewett of West Gardiner and Meagen Mayo of Augusta; great niece Kaylah Reny of Waterville; and a number of cousins.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Mt.
