Johan “Jo” M. Graham

AUGUSTA – Johan “Jo” M. Graham, 86, formerly of Farmingdale, passed away peacefully on Oct. 3, 2021, at Maine General Rehab and Long Term Care at Gray Birch with family by her side. She was born on March 3, 1935, in Salem, Mass., daughter of the late Calvin A. and Genevieve (MacDougall ) Titus. After graduating from Topsfield High School in 1952 and marrying Robert J. Graham, they moved several times until finally settling in Farmingdale. Jo was employed at Maine General Hospital in Gardiner and Augusta in Medical records until retiring in 2000. Music was Jo’s first love and she was very involved in choirs and choruses throughout the years. She participated in her church choir, The Bank of Maine Bicentennial Singers, acapella chorus in Mainely Harmony for 13 years, and the quartette “ Maine Attraction” for eight years. She truly enjoyed her time travelling, competing and entertaining in and out of state. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and collecting antiques, auctions, gardening, dollhouse and miniatures, painting, knitting, braiding rugs, and geneology about her Scottish heritage. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, sons, Bob and Chris and brother, Gus Titus. She is survived by daughter, Jennifer Hansen (Carl) of Gardiner, son, Hugh Graham (Sharon) of Farmingdale, daughter-in-law, Faye Graham of Minot, grandchildren, Julie St. Hilaire (Bryan) of Minot, Seth Hansen of Gardiner, Lindsey Mattson (Aaron) of Manchester, James Graham (Denise) of Farmingdale, stepgrandchildren, Tyler Tripp (Dorie) of Farmingdale, and Jocelyn Tripp of West Gardiner and great-grandchildren Hannah, Jade, Jack, Dior, Gage, Reagan, Thor, Gavin, Abby and nieces and nephews. Jo will be missed by all whose lives she touched and wanted us to “Just remember a happy time spent with me!!” Arrangements are by Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, where condolences, memories and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the funeral home website familyfirstfuneralhomes.com. According to her wishes, there will be no services and memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
