The Whitefield Historical Society is planning the return of its annual Day of Remembrance.

The event is slated for 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at the town house, 36 Townhouse Road.

This year’s program, presented by Taryn Marcus, will feature “The Life and Times of Larry Felt.”

Felt spent almost all his 96 years in Whitefield. He was a teller of stories, an equestrian and a recounter of the local history of the Kings Mills area.

Prior to the presentation, there will be a short annual meeting to elect officers and approve amendments to the bylaws.

Refreshments will be served. Masks will be required at this event.
