Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area plans to offer a 20-hour volunteer training via Zoom for those interested in facilitating grief support groups for adults or children.
The training is set for 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, Wednesday, Oct. 20, Monday, Oct. 25, and Wednesday, Oct. 27, as well as from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 23 and 30.
There is a $30 fee for materials, and scholarships are available.
Hospice Volunteers is a nonprofit organization that offers compassionate volunteer support at the end of life and throughout the grieving process. Its bereavement services include a program for grieving children and teens, Hope’s Place, as well as peer support groups for adults, including Partner Loss, Grieving Parents, Survivors of Suicide, and Grief through the Holidays.
