Donald Floyd

WINTHROP – Donald Floyd, 60, died unexpectedly at his home on Oct. 4, 2021. He was born in Lewiston on July 14, 1961, the son of Harold Linwood and Sandra (Kimball) Floyd.

Donald grew up in Monmouth and was educated in Monmouth schools. He was employed at several places, including a bakery and an egg farm, among others, until he found his calling as a truck driver. Donald enjoyed fishing, old country music and western movies. He liked yard work, working on cars, and most of all, working in his gardens. His gardens were his favorite creations and his friends and family remember the passion he had for gardening and how he boasted to EVERYONE upon completion of his first garden.

Donald was predeceased by his father; and a brother, Mark Floyd.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra; his daughter Danielle Bowler and companion, Wayne Elwell of Winthrop, his son, Michael Roy of Lewiston; his sister, Tammy Adams of Roxbury, brothers Kendell and wife Jackie of Livermore Falls, Kenneth of Greene and Harold “Buddy” Floyd of Winthrop; grandchildren Jerzi-Lee, James Michael, Connor, Mathias, Ezra May and Ocean Roy and C.J., Haley, Kaley and Donald’s good buddy, Wayne III.

A celebration of Donald’s life will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17 at daughter Danielle’s home, 576 Stanley Rd., Winthrop.
