Please join me and my family in voting for Mark O’Brien for mayor of Augusta. I have known O’Brien and his family for almost 60 years. Mark and I went to Mrs. Dinsmore’s nursery school together, attended Hussey, Williams, and Hodgkins Jr High together, and graduated from Cony in 1977. We both chose to make Augusta our forever home to work and raise our families.
I knew from a young age that Mark was a natural leader. He has always been a person of integrity. He is intelligent, fair, thoughtful, hardworking, and totally committed to his community. He has 27 years of experience in city government, having served on the school board and City Council as well as interim mayor. He can hit the ground running on Day 1 of his term.
Mark seeks out new ideas and different perspectives and has a proven record of making decisions based on careful research and fact-finding. Mark O’Brien is the clear choice for mayor of our beloved city.
