The voters of Augusta have an opportunity to chose a proven leader who has demonstrated an ability to collaborate, cooperate and unite people. That leader is Mark O’Brien. Mark is running for mayor. He has spent decades cultivating a reputation of service and giving back to this community. Through coaching Little League, serving on the board of the Augusta Food Bank, years of combined service on the school board and City Council, Mark has dedicated his life to teaching and helping others.

His roots are right here in Augusta: being born here, attending Mrs. Dinsmore’s nursery school, being a captain of Cony football (Go Rams!), raising five children and building a career helping businesses grow and prosper.

We need a mayor who recognizes all the opportunity for growth, personally and professionally, and will be steadfast in approaching the best way to reach the full potential of what our city has to offer, all the while attracting and welcoming newcomers. Mark is the perfect fit for this role and is ready to take on the challenge. He is a man of integrity and principle and a profound listener.

I urge you to look into Mark’s background and see for yourself all that he has done for our community. You will find nothing short of an exemplary record of service.
