Norma Beairsto Donovan

AUGUSTA – Norma Beairsto Donovan died on Sept. 26, 2021, at Maine General Hospital in Augusta, as the result of an earlier fall. She was born on August 27, 1921, in Newton, Mass., the daughter of Charlotte Haywood Beairsto and James Alexander Beairsto.

She graduated from Waltham (MA) High School in 1939 and married Frank M. Donovan in 1942. After World War II they ultimately settled in Medway, Massachusetts, where Norma worked as a purchasing agent for USM Corporation. She was predeceased by her husband in 1974.

After retirement in 1982, she moved to Waterville where she enjoyed many volunteer activities, such as volunteering at the then Osteopathic Hospital. She was a member of St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Waterville.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Doug Reinhardt of Waterville; grandson Andrew Reinhardt and his wife Barbara; granddaughter Katharine and her husband, Rasim Battal; beloved nephew and nieces; and “second family”, the Fuller siblings, originally from Farmington.

The family would like to thank Dr. Roland Knausenberger of Oakland, the staff of Hillside Terrace Assisted Living in Hallowell, the nursing staff of 1 West at Maine General, and friend Teresa, for their wonderful care.

A service of Evensong will be held on Sunday, Oct. 24, at 4:00 p.m., at St. Mark’s Church, Waterville, in her memory.
