My wife and I have lived in Augusta’s Mayfair neighborhood for over 40 years. I have never written a letter of support for a mayoral candidate, but this year I feel compelled to do so. Marci Alexander has done an outstanding job representing us on the Augusta City Council. Of the two mayoral candidates, Marci is the one who is currently in elective office and working to improve our city every day.
Marci has worked hard to make our government one that can boast of both excellent city staff and a high level of services. Her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and support of city personnel have all helped lead to our city’s recent successes.
Marci has worked on numerous city projects and voted in favor of many community improvements over the years. She believes in progress for all of Augusta. She is a person with energy, intelligence and the temperament to be our city’s mayor. As a retired educator, I know Marci will support our schools, school staff and families.
We’ve been lucky to have Marci Alexander working so hard for us as at-large city councilor. She has still more to give. I hope all my neighbors will join with me in voting for Marci as the next mayor of Augusta.
