All too many people are willing to live in a cocoon of ignorance rather than ferret out the truth for themselves. Having said that, it might be worth looking at Central Maine Power’s historical record especially the empty promises made to the families who lived in Flagstaff, Dead River and Bigelow prior to their forced evacuation in 1949.
If you don’t know the sad, heartbreaking story, use your computer and search for: “Most People Have No Idea There Is An Underwater Ghost Town Hiding In Maine.” While there make sure to listen to the song “Below” by Slaid Cleaves.
As the saying goes, past is prologue. So why should anyone now trust CMP to tell us the truth. Vote yes to stop the corridor.
