WATERVILLE — SCORE Northern Maine Chapter Chair Donna Cassese is scheduled to speak during the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce business breakfast set for 7:15-9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Colby/Coburn Room at the Best Western Plus, 375 Main St.

Cassese will discuss how SCORE can help people whether you are starting a business, operating an existing business or are ready to retire and sell their business. SCORE provides free mentoring, workshops, and online resources.

An entrepreneurial presentation will also be made by Amy Rowbottom of Crooked Face Creamery, sharing her business story and future plans.

Cassese has been with Sappi for more than 40 years, serving diverse roles within forestry, operations and manufacturing. She held various management roles within the Sappi framework prior to her retirement in 2018.

Cassese served on the Governor’s Economic Growth Council and in 2019 was named one of 50 Mainers making a positive impact on the future of the state, by Maine magazine.

She now works as a consultant for Sappi, leading government relations work in Maine, and is a business consultant to Puritan Medical Products. She also volunteers with SCORE.
