I live in the Sewall Street neighborhood of Augusta. I am voting for Marci Alexander for mayor because she understands the true heartbeat of Augusta: the neighborhoods, the local schools, the churches and their internal communities. Augusta also includes a community of local businesses making a strong comeback after years of competition from big box stores and, more recently, from online shopping. Marci Alexander has been a leader in advancing these communities.

Augusta is not just the seat of Maine government or a shopping destination. It is our home. We are also the home of the new First Amendment Museum, located next to the Blaine House. It is building a national program that will energize the general public to learn our values of free speech, press, religion, assembly, and petition.

We are fortunate to have Marci Alexander running for mayor, because she will continue her work for our city and its valuable communities.

Vote for Marci Alexander Nov. 2.
