Last Saturday I knocked on several of my neighbors’ doors in House District 86, which consists of Augusta’s communities west of the Kennebec River. I was there to encourage others to vote Nov. 2 for Raegan LaRochelle as our representative in the Legislature.

I actually found that my neighbors were the ones who encouraged me. Several of the people who I spoke with had already requested their ballot or had already voted. Many people know and trust Raegan to do right by Augusta residents. Her effective role on the City Council is well known, as are her deep roots in our community, from attending Cony High School to volunteering as a coach in youth sports and running local businesses.

This little city by the river is important to me and I would only vote for a representative who values Augusta’s sustainable development, strong education, and protected environment. Raegan advocated for improving Augusta’s recycling program and has pledged to protect Maine by safeguarding our air, land, water, and climate-future through forward-looking legislation.

Please join me in voting for Raegan LaRochelle.
