Darrin Carl Moore

ANSON – Darrin Carl Moore, 52, of Anson, died unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 25, 2021at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

He was born in Skowhegan on Nov.5, 1968, the son of Weston John and Patricia Ann (Dickey) Moore.

He graduated from Carrabec High School in 1987 where he played soccer.

After graduation he went to work for his brother in the logging industry, where he eventually got his own skidder. He worked hard, played hard, snowboarded at Sugarloaf, loved to gamble, he enjoyed scratch tickets and always won big. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, family or not, he had a heart of gold that he wore on his sleeve.

He moved to Embden for awhile, then back to Anson. He then went to work for Fine Line Paving, Bruce Manzer, Sappi. He and his brother hit the road months-on-end, state-to-state, on the pipe line and the power line. He and his brother ended here in Maine, again, working for Northern Clearing Inc. from Wisconsin. He made lots of friends over the years on the road and at home, very strong work ethics that was recognized time and again. He hated not working, and would prefer to work seven days a week if he could.
