Linda M. Gallant

SKOWHEGAN – Linda M. Gallant passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday evening, Oct. 29, 2021 from a two-year struggle from lung cancer. She was born in Augusta on Nov. 19, 1960, the 5th and youngest born to Normand and Florence (Pierce) Gallant. She attended Augusta schools.

Linda enjoyed crocheting. She loved Jolly Ranchers and M & M’s. She loved and adored her two cats. She asked to be remembered for her kindness, laughter, smiles and for her politeness.

Words do little to describe her appreciation to her doctors: Dr. Wistar at Sheepscot Valley Health Center. Dr. Wistar was her primary care doctor for more than 25 years. Dr. Kumar, Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care. Linda was so grateful for the kindness and compassion shown by her doctors and the long list of medical care providers at the HACCC.

Cancer gave Linda clarity. She talked often about her life, decisions and regrets. She lived her best life during her two-year struggle with cancer. At the end of her life, she had made peace with her life and is now at peace. I am so very grateful for our good times together these last 2 years. Rest In Peace.

Linda is survived by, and will be sadly missed by her former husband, best friend and caretaker, Peter E, Rogers. She is also survived by her sister, Jeannette Parker and husband Michael of Carrabassett Valley and Stonington, Maine. Linda was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Maurice and Phillip.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at East Side Cemetery in Skowhegan at the convenience of the family.
