WARSAW, N.C. – Blaine Blodgett, 61, of Skowhegan and Warsaw, N.C., died Thursday Oct. 21, 2021, at his home, of natural causes.

Blaine was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a talented musician for 47 years, known for his vocals and guitar playing. He loved working with young people and coached football in both Maine and North Carolina. Blaine was a retired tire salesman with Maine Commercial Tire in Herman and continued in tire sales in North Carolina.

Blaine leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Deborah Walker Blodgett of Norridgewock and Warsaw, N.C.; a son, Christopher Eugene Blodgett, adopted son, Christopher “Benjamen Brinkly” Hall, daughter, Lisa Huettner; nephew, Scott Walker; and grandchildren Melodi Nalley and Kaden Whipple, all of North Carolina. Also surviving are brothers Wayne Blodgett, Eugene Blodgett, of Skowhegan, and sister, Kathy Austin of Madison; and several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased are his parents Earlon Blodgett and wife Shirley; and sister, Naomi Akers, all of Skowhegan.

Blaine loved and was loved by so many. A celebration of his life is being held on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Madison.
