Frances G. Beaulier

MERCER – Frances G. (Oakes) Beaulier, 84, of Mercer, wife of Richard H. Beaulier, passed away at Woodlands Senior Living of Farmington Saturday afternoon Oct. 30, 2021.

She was born on June, 27, 1937 in Lewiston, the daughter of Harold Oakes and Dorothy Oakes (Mason).

She received her education in Jay schools, was a homemaker, and worked in the shoe shop in Farmington.

She liked to go camping at Rangeley Lake State Park and do some fishing, snowmobile riding in the winter and long rides in the fall to look at the leaves. She enjoyed her Word Seek Puzzles and Yahtzee games when not doing much at home.

She was a loving wife and mother. She doted on her grandchildren and adored them, and they adored her right back. She will be greatly missed.

Frances is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Richard; her son, Kevin Luce and wife Debbie, of Belmont, N.H.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Oakes and his wife Louise “Dolly” Oakes of Wilton; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Melancon, who died in 2008 and a son, Clifford “Billy” Luce Jr. who died in 1995; three sisters, Shirley Bernard, Leatrice Orr, Pauline Kittredge, two brothers, Russell Oakes, Robert “Bobby” Oakes.

Burial will be at a later date.
