Helen F. Nasberg

AUGUSTA – Helen Francis Witham Nasberg, 93, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 13, 2021.

Helen was born in Augusta to Phyllis Cates Witham and Jennings Witham on August 12, 1928. After graduating from Cony High School in 1947, Helen trained to become a dental assistant and worked for several local dentists and at Togus Veterans Hospital.

Helen was a Sunday school teacher, church board member and Chief Steward at Togus Hospital. Later she became an antique dealer and the owner of Mother Goose Antiques in Hallowell.

Helen had an overly generous spirit. She loved her church family at Christian Life Fellowship. She rounded up kids to take to Sunday School and donated to St. Jude Hospital. If anyone deserves a place in Heaven, it’s Helen.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jepson and husband, Alan Jepson, of Stockholm, her daughter, Beth Olsen and husband Eric Olsen, of Manchester; and her grandson, Charles Wesley Rucker, and wife Kat, of Bath.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Nasberg; and her grandson, Erik Jepson.

A private family service will be held in November, but a celebration of Helen’s life will be held in the spring.
